Acknowledgements

I would like to thank every cricket player and coach that I have come into contact with, over
the last 16 years, since I learned that there was a game called cricket. It is such an unusual
and interesting game that absolutely everyone has an opinion or an idea about how it should
be played, which has meant that I have picked the brains of hundreds, perhaps thousands of
individuals to this point!

Most of the drills and games in this manual have been passed down from coach to coach, and player to player, and adapted along the way. I thank everyone for their thoughts and ideas over the years. Thanks to Rick for making this dream a reality. Finally I’d like to thank my family for their endless support, and to Justine for putting up with me even though she’s not a cricket fan!!
